The Mayor Adem Murat Yücel invited all Alanya people and wrestling fans to Gökbel. "After the Kırkpınar Wrestling the Gökbel Oil Wrestling being among the most known events in Turkey approximately 800 wrestlers will come to compete at the Gökbel Plateau. We invite all of our citizens to the event”, he said.

"Our activities will start with the public concerts of Hüsnü Şenlendirici and Cengiz Kurtoğlu on Saturday, July 20th and will continue with wrestling on Sunday. We carry out many activities in order to preserve our values and cultural assets, to keep them alive and to pass them on to future generations. We also organize oil wrestling as a tradition of our nomadic culture. This year, we will perform the 15thtraditional oil wrestling at our growing and developing Gökbel Plateau. Our 16 brave wrestlers from Kırkpınar will also come Gökbel to compete and show themselves. This shows how important our organization is”, stated the Mayor Yücel.
